Amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, Ligas Kooperatiba ng Bayan sa Pagpapaunlad celebrates its 35th Founding Anniversary on March 2, 2021. Ligas KBP Foundation initiated the celebration with the opening of LKBP Farm Store located at LKBP Compound, Brgy. Ligas, City of Malolos, Bulacan selling different products from the LKBP Farm Site. Its 10 branches in Bulacan, Pampanga, Bataan, and Nueva Ecija had a pick a prize game for each member who will win a cash prize and a souvenir item from LKBP Garments Printing and Embroidery. The simple celebration ended with a zoom meeting with the presence of all LKBP Management and staff. LKBP CEO, Ms. Julita D. Nazar shared her gratefulness to everyone in LKBP for achieving another milestone in the Cooperative despite all the challenges brought by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Tilapia Aquaculture Technology Livelihood Seminar
LKBP through Ligas KBP Foundation, Inc., conducted another free livelihood training on Tilapia Aquaculture Technology with assistance from the Provincial Agriculture Office headed by Ms. Ma. Gloria SF. Carillo last February 26, 2021, at the LKBP ARC Training Center. Supervising Aquaculturist, Mr. Michael V. De Guzman together with Ms. Shiela R. Canquin (Aquaculturist II), and Mr. Joshua A. De Ocampo (Aquaculturist I) discussed the different sustainable management in tilapia farming. The said training aims to ensure food security and create jobs for those who are interested to enter tilapia farming. Nearby residents in Brgy. Ligas, Malolos, Bulacan were the ones who attended the seminar. The training was also streamed live via Facebook and has gained 1,300 views and has reached 2,319 people online.
ASEC. Lazaga visits CDA Building Site at LKBP
Together with CDA Regional Director, Ms. Marieta P. Hwang, CDA Asec. Virgilio R. Lazaga conducted an ocular inspection of the soon to be the Cooperative Training Center located at Ligas Kooperatiba ng Bayan sa Pagpapaunlad last February 5, 2021.. LKBP CEO, Ms. Julita D. Nazar accompanied Asec. Lazaga, Director Hwang, Sr. CDS Chief CPDAS Nelson Evangelista, and PCDS Troy Sunga inside the building. The construction of the Cooperative Training Center is intended to highlight the cultural and historical values of Bulakeños and Filipinos.
